| » Broadband Wireless is Here | Do I have to sign a contract? Yes. You must agree to at least a 1-year contract to qualify. Do I get dial-up access with my wireless service? Yes. One dial-up account is included with each wireless package. Does the wireless system require a telephone line? No. What equipment is required? ACT-Online Broadband Wireless will provide the necessary equipment. This consists of a custom-made radio, an antenna, and a network card. Who installs the equipment? ACT-Online installation engineers will configure and install your service at your location or facility. How fast is ACT-Online Broadband Wireless? The speed of service depends on your choice of service option. ACT-Online can provide T1 speeds and above. Actual performance of individual connections will also vary depending upon a number of circumstances. Is the upload speed the same as the download speed? No. Customers who require higher upstream/downstream bandwidth speeds should request for an upgrade. Will the service work anywhere? No. You must be within radio range. Also the system requires line of site between our tower and your antenna. Depending on your location you may need additional equipment. How many Email accounts do I get? Residential wireless services includes up to 5 email addresses. Can I connect more than 1 computer? Yes. Additional equipment may be required. What if I move from my current location? If you move to another location within ACT-Online Broadband Wireless's service area, your service will be redeployed at no charge.
